Our story
2013 - Sophie Elise opened its doors on October 21st 2013, and has gone from strength to strength ever since. With a wide range of treatments, special guests, events where you'll find the perfect place to relax, de-stress, pamper and unwind.
2014: Sophie Elise expanded it's in salon beauty shop, offering new brands such as; Hi Brows and offering a larger selection brands such as; OPI. The salon also gained an award coming 4th place in the Leicester Mercury's - Leicestershires Salon of the year. The salon also then went onto winning a Highly Commended award for BEST SHOP FRONT and Sophie gained a Highly commended award for YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR in the MELTON BUSINESS AWARDS 2014.
2015: Sophie Elise gained 2 further Highly Commended awards in the MELTON BUSINESS AWARDS 2015 for CUSTOMER CARE and BEST NEW BUSINESS. This was also the year the Salon became and ELEMIS partner, offering a wide selection of Elemis Facials, Elemis Body Massage and creating a space for Elemis retail.
2016: Sophie Elise - opened its second door to the New Day Spa on April 23rd - conveniently located above the existing salon over two separate floors. The Day Spa offers clients an escape from busy lifestyles and is an alternative option allowing 'Spa Go Getters' a more private setting if your wanting to avoid the hustle and bustle you might find in a larger Spa. 2016 was also the year the Salon gained its 6th Finalist Award for Green Achievement (An Eco-Friendly award) at the Melton Business Awards.
2017: The team at Sophie Elise secured finalist status at The English Hair & Beauty Awards for CUSTOMER CARE, along with Sophie herself, receiving a finalist title for Masseuse of the Year.
In the March, a new award winning brand became a permanent resident in the salon in form of DELILAH COSMETICS. The makeup range offers clients the chance to enjoy the premium makeup range which can also be found in Harrods, Harvey Nics & Fortnum & Masons to name a few!
+ it hasn't stopped there! Later on that year The British Hair & Beauty Awards took place, crowning Sophie Elise Salon of the year 2017 [East Midlands], as well as becoming finalists for Retail Salon of the Year!
2018: - The local, Melton Achievement Awards saw the team win yet another award for Customer Focus and nationally, the team took to the British Hair & Beauty Awards yet again, taking the Gold for Customer Care + Bronze for Day Spa of the Year 2018.
The team also got the chance to be part the Muddy Stiletto Awards and was honoured with a finalist status of Best Day Spa in the Leicestershire & Rutland area!
2019: Sophie Elise continues to stand proud of all its achievements over the last 6 years. Needless to say things are always on the move, so keep an eye out for the ever changing business that is Sophie Elise.
2020: Well twenty twenty wasn't the year any of us expected. However after a lengthy closure due to the coronavirus, the team did enjoy the time we have been able to spend back at work during the odd summer months and in December just in time for Christmas.
2021: April 12th, the third lock down has ended and we are back in full swing with a fresh new treatment menu with thanks to @HappyDogMarketing + @invitingwriting which includes some brand new treatments. We've also welcomed our first ever Assistant Salon Manager to the team! Please welcome Becky [scroll down for her bio].
In May we also received the news that we have also won awards from The British Hair & Beauty Awards 2021 in the categories 'Best Day Spa' and 'Salon of the Year' in the East Midlands region! Plus if that wasn't enough we've only gone and taken the title for 'Best Day Spa' in Leicestershire + Rutland in the Muddy Stiletto Awards 2021 - the awards had a whopping 750,000 nominations for over 75,000 busniess's across the country, so we're pretty chuffed with that to say the least!
2022:
With nearly a decade of treating you lovely lot, were super pleased to have received finalist status, attending the Melton Business Awards for another year grabbing some fancy certificates for 'Customer Focus' and 'Best Team'. We hope to be celebrating our 10th anniversary in October 2023 with more exciting announcements, but for now ttfn.

"Hello everyone! So here's a little bit about me.
I began my beauty career working in Salons back in 2009 between my years at college training as a Beauty Therpaist. By 2011, I entered the world of work at sea, working for Steiner Transocean - onboard the 'Pacific Jewel' P&O Cruise Liner as the Detoxification Specialist. After completing my contract I pursued a career focusing in cosmetics - becoming a makeup ambassador for Bare Minerals. Along side this job role, in 2013, I also became a Beauty Educator at 'The Beverley Robinson School of Nails and Beauty' specialising in makeup, brows and waxing and filled my spare time as mobile therapist keeping my hand in performing a variety of treatments.
It was in October 2013, 19a Leicester Street allowed itself for a transformation and here's where the best chapter of my story began at the age of 21, opening the ground floor Beauty Salon on October 21st 2013, followed by the opening of our Day Spa situated above the Beauty Salon on April 21st 2016".

“Hello everyone! I would like to introduce myself, my name is Becky and I am the Assistant Salon Manager at ‘Sophie Elise’. I’m super exited to meet everyone and get to know you all.
Just a little background on myself.
I have been in the beauty industry for 9 years now. Following college where I trained as a Beauty Therapist, I worked onboard Carnival cruise liners for the company Steiner Transocean. After my time at sea I became land based, working at Ragdale Hall Spa for many years performing a wide range of treatments and working very closely with all the industry leading product brands, as well as becoming a trained Elemis Therapist and receiving specialist training in brands such as Clarins, Decleor and Spa Find.
I'm loving being part of the team here at 'Sophie Elise' and gaining new experiences in what I love doing best".

Hi everyone! My name is Corina.
I qualified in 2012 as a beauty therapist and started my journey at Ragdale hall. This gave experience, confidence and a spring board in finding where my passion in beauty was. I then gained my wings as cabin crew. I’ve since been working in beauty alongside my flying until Covid hit. It was then the right time to hang up my wings, and concentrate on my beauty career.
Over the last two years I’ve had the honour to work in several prestigious spas via agency work over the country whilst studying towards a psychology and counselling degree, where eventually I would love to incorporate this in to my beauty and well-being career.
As soon as I stepped in to Sophie Elise, I felt admittedly at home! I’m now so excited to be part of the team but especially to meet all of you, and continue Sophie & Becky’s amazing work, spreading relaxation and wellbeing.

Caitlin joined the team in Summer 2022 as our first ever 'Salon Assistant'. You'll find Caitlin in the Salon and Day Spa area every Saturday lending us a hand with the every day running of the Salon. Whether that be setting up for treatments, helping out on reception or making our guests a drink to enjoy during there visit.
Caitlin has recently qualified in traditional manicures and pedicures and is now offering these at a discounted rate every Saturday in salon to gain experience. Caitlin will also be following up her interest in nail treatments with additional training in Gel Polish very soon too.
